It was a fun filled adventure that kept me on my feet all through out the book. On the clayhon, what I can find negative about it is probably just mysteries left for later installments. Mika and Audrey also go behind the wall and find trees, plants, and animals.

There is a sequel to this book, The Whisper, I plan on reading that book because I feel like it will clear up things from the first book and I feel that it will be a really great book to read. A lot of people said it was kinda depressing but I didn’t really find it to be that way.

I really liked the storyline, and the characters and the mission. I felt no connection to any of the characters, and I was reading simply to see how everything came together. The focus shifting from Ellie to Mika through me off a bit, but hey, I can deal with twists and turns and surprises.
One of claytoj strongest points of The Roar is the effective dystopian world building. The thing I don’t like about him is that sometimes he did not listen to his instinct which made him have more problems in the book.
However, a lot of those don’t have good worldbuilding, so that’s not saying much. A set of twins, who had been separated when the government kidnaped Ellie for nefarious reasons which are only A solid 4 stars. She doesn’t do anything active except clyaton from whatever at in the first chapter and then gets captured again, spending the rest of the book wondering what’s going on.
